I don’t even know where to begin with my journey and experience through one of the most amazing and vibrant cities in the world. When I find the words, I’ll put them here. But for now here are just a few shots to look at.
The Bruce Trail is an expansive collection of winding and scenic paths that I love to explore at any opportunity. With access to many waterways it is the perfect area for photographers and nature lovers to explore.
Living on the East side of Lake Simcoe in the tiny town of Keswick, Ontario has its advantages. Each night, over the water we are grateful enough to experience some of the most stunning and captivating sunsets. I love taking a stroll down the road to a few of my favourite, quiet spots where I can just sit and watch the show unfold.
Northern Ontario is such a beautiful place to explore and with all the amazing roads, rivers and wildlife, around each turn could be my next frame. The Magnetewan River stretches through Algonquin Park and ends all the way in Georgian Bay. It is surrounded by beautiful scenery and as the seasons change so does the landscape.
Each August, Downsview Park in Toronto is transformed into a playground for electronic music and hip hop lovers to come together to see some of the world’s biggest artists perform. Some of the major acts I have had the opportunity to capture include, Future, Zedd, Markus Schulz, The Migos, Martin Garrix and many more.
There seems to be a pattern with my obsession with northern Ontario, but I can’t help it. Its an endless array of scenery that I never get bored of exploring. Recently my parents migrated from our hometown of Barrie, ON to Huntsville and visiting there I always try to take a different path. My dad got a cool boat and cruising down the river can provide some pretty special views.
Southern Ontario has a lot of beauty and even though I grew up in a bit of suburbia I manage to explore my neighbourhood and am always looking when the sun goes down. Simcoe County offers some beautiful scenery and places to adventure through.
Whenver I get a chance to visit The Lane, a close friends family spot, I always make the drive. It is a sacred space at the bottom of Lake Scugog in Port Perry, ON, where life imitates art and the water is so still.
Once again, VELD makes its stop inside Downsview Park in Toronto, ON bringing thousands of festival goers and ravers to one of the biggest events of the Summer. Working with the VisualBass photo team I have the opportunity to shoot and cover some of the biggest artists in the world during their performances. But its not just the artists that make these festivals cool, they would be nothing with the energy from the people who come out with a purpose. They come out to rave and party and I love capturing that energy more than anything.
One of my favourite drives is rolling along the shore from Keswick to Jackson’s Point. Some of the homes and views are so gorgeous and the water and sunsets provide the perfect backdrops to any evening.
387 Adeline Dr was my first home that I was able to purchase with my girlfriend a few years years ago. Since then I unfortunately had to sell it but will always cherish the memories that we made here. Working in the world of real estate photography allowed me to document and display my house the way I wanted to for the sale. I love shooting properties and enjoyed creating a collection I can always remember.
There’s nothing more true than how a dog can be just as much as a family member as anyone. This girl holds a special place in my heart. She was always there for me and I am happy to have shared so many memories with her, from waking up every morning on the hour for her breakfast and hike through the near by trails, to swimming like a fish at the lake, where she would live if she could. I love you Mak.
The beautiful and amazing island of Roatan, Honduras was an experience and place I am most definitely looking to return to. Exploring the island with my beautiful girlfriend we drank and laughed and swam, while taking in some of the most breath taking sunsets and views along the coastline. We stayed right in West End, a popular scuba diving and snorkelling spot and is world renowned for its coral reef. I appreciate every moment I share on these trips and try to capture the essence of where we are through my images. I am very sentimental and love creating these memories.
This is Oliver Riggs. He is a pure Shetland Sheep Dog and one of the cutest little guys I have ever known. My family dog of 14 years Jackson was also a Shelty, and we got Oliver a few years before he passed to have a buddy around the house. They are so cute when they are puppies and when I saw him just hugging this tennis ball, posing in the most perfect way, I was lucky to have my camera in my hand.
The west cost has recently become my second home as multiple trips have resulted in great memories and experiences with amazing new friends and old.
I have gone through many changes in the last few years and the vibe I feel when I am out there is really where I think I belong. I was welcomed with open arms into friends homes and lives and I am grateful for the ones who have made an amazing impact on my life. I love you all.
